Men and all genders

Pelvic floor care that is not only for women

Care for men, trans and nonbinary people, and anyone whose care has been planned around someone else.

Everyone has a pelvic floor. Men can have pain at the tailbone or in the pelvis, leaks after surgery, or trouble emptying the bladder or bowels. Trans and nonbinary people may want care around gender-affirming surgery. Wilhelmina uses the name and pronouns you give her.

This care is for you if

  • You have pelvic, tailbone or groin pain that comes with sitting or exercise

  • You leak after prostate or bowel surgery

  • You are planning or recovering from gender-affirming surgery

  • Your name, pronouns or body have been a problem in other clinics

What a visit looks like

  • Who treats you

Wilhelmina Griffin, a licensed physical therapist, at every visit.

  • What happens

You say how you would like to be addressed. Then you talk, fully clothed, and she looks at how you sit, stand, breathe and move.

  • How long

A first visit lasts about an hour, and you can bring someone with you.

What Wilhelmina does

  • Uses your name and pronouns

And asks only what she needs to plan your care.

  • Plans around your body as it is

Not around what a form assumes.

  • Breath, movement and relaxing

Work for pain, leaks and trouble emptying, fitted to you.

  • Works with your surgeon's advice

With your permission, she can talk to your surgeon or doctor.

  • Hands-on work, only if you want it

Each step explained first, and a yes needed for each one.

Before you book

  • What decides how many visits

How many visits you need depends on what you are dealing with, your surgery or health history, and what you want to get back to. Wilhelmina goes over the plan with you as you go.

  • Who treats you

Wilhelmina Griffin is a licensed physical therapist in Wisconsin. You see her at every visit.

    About Wilhelmina
  • How it is paid for

Most PPO plans and Medicare are billed, and you can pay yourself with a written estimate first.

    How fees work
  • When to see a doctor first

Numbness between your legs, trouble passing urine, or a sudden, painful, swollen testicle needs a doctor now. Fever with pelvic pain needs a doctor too.

  • Chest pain, trouble breathing, a sudden severe headache or pain, new weakness or numbness, loss of bladder or bowel control, or a fall with a head injury needs emergency care now. Call 911.
