How fees work
What you pay depends on how you pay. Each answer is here in plain words, and you hear the details before you book.
Insurance we work with
Wilhelmina bills health plans for physical therapy, and tells you before your first visit whether she is in network with yours. The list is by type of plan, not by company.

If you pay yourself
If you do not use insurance, you pay on the day of your visit. You hear the fee before you book, in writing, and we do not bill your plan. Ask about reduced-fee spots if cost is the thing in the way.
An estimate in advance
If you pay without insurance, you get a written estimate before your first visit: what each visit is expected to cost and what it includes. If a bill comes in $400 or more above that estimate, you can dispute it. You can ask for the estimate at any time.
Checking your benefits
We check your benefits and call you with what we find, before your first visit. Your plan has the final say on what it pays. Your copay, deductible and coinsurance are set by your plan. The only things we ask on this site are your name, phone and email.
What the first visit includes
Your first visit is about an hour with Wilhelmina, one-on-one. She listens, looks at how you move, explains what she finds and agrees on a plan with you. Whether you have an internal exam is always your choice.
Questions about paying
Do you take my insurance?
Wilhelmina bills many plans, by type, and tells you before your first visit whether she is in network with yours.
Do you take Medicare?
Yes. Physical therapy under Medicare Part B is billed. Ask us what applies to your plan.
Can I get a receipt to send to my plan?
Yes. You can ask for an itemized receipt. Your plan decides whether it reimburses you.
What if cost is the thing in the way?
Tell us. Wilhelmina keeps a few reduced-fee spots and explains how they work when you ask.
Want to know what to expect?
Ask before you book. There is no pressure and no obligation.
